What To Do With Old Swimsuits: Where to Donate
It can be challenging to find where you can donate old swimsuits. There are not many organizations that specifically state they accept them.
Looking around the web, some sources note that Goodwill and The Salvation Army will take used swimsuits. The Shop Goodwill website even shows a selection of swimsuits you can buy, which would seem to indicate they do accept them.
But if you contact your local Goodwill or Salvation Army and they don’t accept swimsuits, there are organizations out there that say they do. Here’s a list of different groups that will happily take your old bathing suits.

What to Do With Old Swimsuits: Where to Donate
1. Bras For A Cause
Initially, Bras For A Cause only accepted used bras and other lingerie. Now they’re accepting used swimsuits.
Bras For A Cause accepts donations on an ongoing basis. All the donations are distributed to shelters, charities, breast cancer survivor support groups, and other organizations around the world. You’re welcome to donate money as well.
2. Swimming4All
Swimming can be a fun activity for kids to learn. But unfortunately, not all of them have or can afford a swimsuit.
Swimming4all accepts donations of swimsuits for boys and girls to allow them the chance to get swimming lessons. The organization will accept bathing suits in good repair and also will accept money and kickboards or swimming equipment.
Any other organizations that accept swimsuits?
These were the only two I could find online. Occasionally there are community drives in different towns where swimsuit donations are being requested. Investigate whether there are any current ones in your city.
You can also try contacting your local Goodwill, Salvation Army, or any other organization in your area that accepts clothing donations. If you know of any other organizations that accept donations for swimsuits and swim trunks, feel free to share them in the comments.
While donating old swimwear is one way to help the environment, another way is to shop for sustainably-made swimsuits. Do your best to find ones that are made with eco-friendly materials and, if possible, made with biodegradable materials.
